The workers are punctual, fast, and respectful of the work environment. They always cleaned up after themselves and left the house as clean as they found it.
The installation was fast and pain free. There were some items with the ductwork that needed some attention after the initial install, but Simon made sure to square them away and complete the job to a high standard of quality.
Other neighbors have already begun asking me about the install and each time, without hesitation, I have recommended they check out HUS. Great work. Need more contractors like them!
Browsed around a few before settling with home upgrade Specialist. Called a few places and got a few quotes but HUS got the job. Price was reasonable and they were able to do it pretty quickly. Got a wall heater installed since the gas company wouldnt even connect my gas line. Apparently the current one was leaking gas, not the only gas pipe unfortunately leaking but its the price you pay when you dont do a full inspection yourself or hire someone before purchasing a house.*Note to anyone purchasing a house, hire an inspector you find, read the reviews*. Thanks HUS for the quick and reasonable prices I now have a wall heater I wont be using til 2021 winter. Haha jk. Thanks.
Simply great service. Have used for regular split-unit repairs (timely kept appointments, and great follow-ups afterwards); retro-fit projects (going from in-floor gas to split-unit heat pumps); and general advice when dealing with our older houses with limited attic and floor access (usually makes putting in conventional HVAC units ridiculously costly because of post-work restoration required.)
I can usually get an appointment within 24-48 hours, and most times are arriving within 60-90 minutes of the promised time (LA traffic accidents notwithstanding.) They're able to deal with both the units they install and service, as well as repairs and maintenance on most existing systems. I wish other HVAC service companies were as responsible and responsive, but I'm really happy to have found HUS because they support all of our needs now (except of course, for our little window units, which almost no one touches because they're usually cheaper to just replace with newer and more energy-efficient ones.)
They covered all the required services during our split-unit installs, including add-on electrical, penetration patch-up, and post-install follow-up. Nice to have only one bill to look at. Also nice to see really solid weather-proof external work - as we had a different contractor do one of our installs, and they fabricated a make-shift external condenser mount that turned out to rot away after 2 years. HUS's work is super-solid and should even be quake-safe. Estimates are really clear, and include up- and down-grade options, when needed to fit a budget.
I'm not one to write reviews but when you come across a company that has the kind of customer service and professionalism that these guys bring to the table I feel like they deserve it! So, when Greg, the tech, came out to give me an estimate on my HVAC I was pretty impressed to say the least.... he couldn't have been a nicer guy... but what I appreciated most was his honesty. After he left I called the company and told them to give that guy a raise... that he was an amazing representation of their company. So, if you are looking for a company that checks all the boxes and most importantly will give you straight forward honest service... look no further, these guys are 100% the best I have dealt with in the 15yrs I have lived in LA. And remember to ask for Greg!
While I did not meet any employees in person as I was at work when our heater was fixed, I spoke with a customer rep via yelp message named Stevie.
She responded quickly and assured me that they could assist us even though we didn't really know what was going on.
